Why does the world continue to buy Chinese?

China’s economic growth has been spectacular and it appears to have weathered the GEC quite well. Yet perceptions of China’s success are often influenced by out-dated views that China only produces cheap, poor quality products on the back of low wage costs. In the same way that “Made in Japan” was synonymous with poor quality in the 1960s, “Made in China”, though ubiquitous, is often looked down upon as poor in quality. This article paints a very different picture.
